A vibrant original artwork on stretched canvas.

This is part of a series of paintings created during summer 2021, inspired by walks in the wetland areas around Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. I have called it Grandfather' s Footsteps because I noticed that my style here bears a striking resemblance to paintings created by my Hungarian grandfather (whom I never knew).

I used strong brushstrokes and emphatic greens to convey my joy at being out in nature. My style could be described as neoexpressionist. I try to capture how a place makes me feel rather than to create a literal representation.

Dimensions are 31×41 cm × 2 cm.

All my original artworks and limited edition prints are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, which confirms when and how they have been made, and the story behind the art.

The painting sold unframed. It can be added to the wall using the existing hanging attachment or for extra impact it can be displayed in a float frame.

About Me:

I am a self-taught artist who celebrates the beauty of nature.  I started painting 5 years ago to escape the pain of a chronic condition called fibromyalgia.  Art has changed my life. One of my paintings was included in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2021, and I was part of a BBC2 documentary.  My work has been shown in the prestigious Mall Galleries.

Please be aware that colours may look slightly different on screen to in reality.  The way they look on screen is determined by your screen settings.
