A vibrant original artwork on stretched canvas.

This is part of a series of paintings created during summer 2021, inspired by walks in the wetland areas around Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.I have called it Grandfather' s Footsteps because I noticed that my style here bears a striking resemblance to paintings created by my Hungarian grandfather (whom I never knew).

I used strong brushstrokes and emphatic greens to convey my joy at being out in nature. My style could be described as neoexpressionist. I try to capture how a place makes me feel rather than to create a literal representation.

Dimensions are 30 x 42cm × 2 cm.

About Me:

I am a self-taught painter whose work celebrates the natural world. One of my paintings is currently on display in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2021. I have also been selected for the ING Discerning Eye 2021.
