This painting was inspired by a visit to Old Broome woods in Suffolk in March 2022. The trees there are centuries old oaks, and they have been pollarded over the years to make strange uncanny shapes. I was amazed and delighted by them and wanted to tell their story in a picture.

This is an acrylic and pen painting on watercolour paper.

The image is size A3, 42 x 30 cm. This painting is sold in a classic wood and glass black frame, with a white mount, ready to hang. Size, 51 x 41 cm, 20 x 16"

About Me:

I am a self-taught artist who celebrates the beauty of nature.  I started painting 4 years ago to escape the pain of a chronic condition called fibromyalgia.  Art has changed my life.  Last year, one of my paintings was included in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2021, and I was part of a BBC2 documentary which can still be seen on iPlayer.  (Link on my website).  My work has been shown in the prestigious Mall Galleries.

Please be aware that colours may look slightly different on screen to in reality,.  The way they look on screen is determined by your screen settings.
