This is one of a series of paintings which I made during and after a trip to Devon in September, 2021. This painting was inspired by cliffs of the Jurassic Coast at Seaton beach.
The painting is made with gouache paint and finished with pen, on watercolour paper
My style could be described as neoexpressionist. I try to capture how a place makes me feel rather than to create a literal representation.
I have teamed this small picture with a choice of finishes, either a white mount, or a white mount and a black wooden frame. The frame is made in the UK, with traditional methods, using glass and wood.
Exterior size 8 x 8", 20 x 20 cm. The frame has a hanging attachment and a stand at the back so it can be used on a shelf or wall.
This painting ships from my studio in London by signed for delivery service, included within the price. All my original paintings are carefully wrapped in protective acid free packaging.
I am a self-taught artist who celebrates the beauty of nature. I started painting 4 years ago to escape the pain of a chronic condition called fibromyalgia. Art has changed my life. Last year, one of my paintings was included in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2021, and I was part of a BBC2 documentary which can still be seen on iPlayer. My work has been shown in the prestigious Mall Galleries.
