Moody landscape painting of fields

This is a painting of fields, seen from the train on my last journey between my family in Suffolk and my home in London before lockdown in Spring 2020. I love taking photographs and making quick sketches from the train window. The unorthodox methodology gives my artworks a dynamic quality – big fields and big sky rushing past. Here, I have used strong colours at emphatic brushstrokes to create a moody atmospheric picture – the dark clouds representing the gathering coronavirus pandemic.

This is an acrylic and pen painting on stretched canvas.

It is sold unframed, but you can hang it straight on the wall without a frame as the painting wraps around the sides of the canvas. Alternatively you can put it in a float frame for extra impact.

Size 31 x 41 cm, 12 x 16.
