A vibrant original artwork.

I created this picture during spring and early summer 2021. It is inspired by walks in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, the area of the Linnet, which is a chalk stream that runs through the town.

I used strong brushstrokes and emphatic greens to convey my joy at being out in nature. My style could be described as neoexpressionist. I try to capture how a place makes me feel rather than to create a literal representation.

This is an acrylic painting with metallic acrylic colours and pen, made on textured watercolour paper.

Dimensions are  c . 42 x 42 cm.

This painting is designed to be used with a mount and frame. It is sold unframed, framed in pictures are for illustration only. Contact me if you would like advice on how to frame or care for your painting.
