A vibrant original artwork on canvas.

I created this picture during spring and early summer 2021.

I used strong brushstrokes and emphatic purples to convey my joy at being out in nature. My style could be described as neoexpressionist. I try to capture how a place makes me feel rather than to create a literal representation.

This is an acrylic painting with metallic acrylic colours and pen, made on textured watercolour paper.

Dimensions are   55 x 80 x 3 cm

The painting has been professionally framed in a grey float frame which beautifully complements the colours in the work

This painting is not available to purchase right now. It is either in an exhibition or entered for an exhibition open call. If you are interested to buy this picture, when it returns to the studio, please contact me (my email is at the bottom of the page or use the contact form).Alternatively I am happy to paint something similar for you. I love commissions!

I am a self-taught artist who celebrates the beauty of nature. I started painting 4 years ago to escape the pain of a chronic condition called fibromyalgia. Art has changed my life. Last year, one of my paintings was included in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2021, and I was part of a BBC2 documentary which can still be seen on iPlayer. (Link on my website). My work has been shown in the prestigious Mall Galleries.

Please be aware that colours may look slightly different on screen to in reality.  The way they look on screen is determined by your screen settings.
