A vibrant original artwork on deep stretched canvas.

This painting is part of a series of paintings I made inspired by walks around the Suffolk town of Bury St Edmunds in 2021. This one shows a field known as The Crankles in October just as the leaves are starting to turn yellow. The title refers not only to the seasonal change but also to the idea of nature as innocence and Eden.

I used strong brushstrokes and emphatic greens to convey my joy at being out in nature. My style could be described as neoexpressionist. I try to capture how a place makes me feel rather than to create a literal representation.

Dimensions are 30 x 30 cm x4 cm.

The painting sold unframed.

About Me:

I am a self-taught artist who celebrates the beauty of nature.  I started painting 5 years ago to escape the pain of a chronic condition called fibromyalgia.  Art has changed my life. One of my paintings was included in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2021, and I was part of a BBC2 documentary.  My work has been shown in the prestigious Mall Galleries.
